So a couple weeks ago, I accidentally dropped our camera. It didn't fall far, but apparently it was enough to break it. This was a very sad day at the Vahrenkamp house. I have actually been taking pictures and videos on my phone almost daily to send to grandparents who are far away, but since we didn't have our camera, I figured I would share some of my favorite videos from the last couple weeks.
This first video is of June sitting up. She does pretty well and can stay up for a couple minutes at a time on her own. We have been putting the Boppy around her so that she can have a little bit of support and so its soft when she falls backwards.
June still loves her bouncer even though I think she has almost outgrown it.
Just last week we started June on solid foods. This was her first try at sweet potatoes.
About a week later we tried an apple/banana mix. June is now eating sweet potatoes, peas, carrots, spinach, bananas, and apples. We have found that she will eat anything with a little sweet potato mixed in (this includes the fruit). I always thought that babies liked the fruit better, but June loves her sweet potatoes.
This is one of June's favorite toys. I think she likes it because its so bright.
Thankfully, I have a friend from work who has a baby about 7 months older than June. She has been so generous to let us borrow a lot of her baby stuff. This makes it so much easier on us. We don't have to worry about buying everything and where to store it when she is done after only a few months of use. This is June's most recent borrowed toy. We have only had it a few days and she already loves it.
This last one is one of my favorites. One day June was just being so crabby and I was getting a little frustrated. Anyway, this is what I found worked to keep her happy. Now she loves it whenever we do it to her. She also tries to mimic that sound which is really funny to hear.
